Week 5

Here are some pictures that Sam sent this week. He is doing well, and he is excited to get out to the mission field. He will arrive in Lubbock this next Monday, August 24th!

3rd week letter

No me and my comp were the only ones not to get sick in our district.  so that was the tender mercy!  but I love my district and my Teachers.  both of them are awesome.  and yes. i saw the tongue on my shoes before i even left hahahaha.  but I really like what you put on them!  so they do have that kind of stuff here at the MTC... but I like the stuff that you sent wayyyyyy better.  it tasts like home!  yes mother i am eating well and trying my hardest to stay healthy.  im still 170 pounds so i havnt gained or lost anything.  20 people emailed me today! i feel so good about it! even Chloe Wilcox sent me one!  as bruce would say "Chloe!!!!! i love chloe shes just so cute" haha today i was singling "I believe in miracles" but switched the Miracle part to MALE-CALL! haha bruce still makes me laugh.  if you can will you go on to my computer and send me some pics from the computer? i miss seeing everyone.  just the ones of me and my friends.  you think that bearing your testimony is hard in english???? I bore mine in spanish last sunday! haha well i hope I answered all of your questions!  I love you so much and I miss you so Much!  tell bella high and give her a treat for me.   I miss her too. send me a pic of bella hahaha.  ok I love you and thanks for the package! keep em comin! hahaha love you mmmwaaa

Week 2

Family and Friends! 

its been an amazing two weeks! yeah there has been some hard times, but overall, the CCM in mexico is really cool!  my district is awesome and we always have a good time together.  The CCM is an an experience that is uncomparable to anything that i have ever done.  its almost undescribable to explain anything to you guys! Im running out of time so ill keep this quick...  we are all in our own place for a reason. dont for a minute regret the place that ur in.  thts what has been keeping me motivated the past 2 weeks.  well that and some other things but... 

hey shout out to Mr. and  Mrs. B for spanish class in highschool... i know alot more spanish than probably any of us realize! 

dont act so suprised Mr. B.  haha well i hope all of you are doing well! keep on keepin on!  my family will post something else next week.

Pictures! Week 1

Week 1- Mexico City MTC

MOM! Hi hows it goin?  all is good here at the mexico CCM. (thats what its called besides the MTC).  Missionary life is so much different than regular life.  I dont think ive been so tired in my life!  Every morning My companion and I wake up early to take hot showers before the water runs out.  His name is Elder Hannafin, and hes from california.  to me, He looks just like tom cruz.  hes super cool and we get along super good.  The people here are just awesome and amazing.  Even though were studying spanish and doctrine everyday for 10-12 hours, we still find a way to laugh super hard and have good times.  but since were studying from 7 AM-930PM, you  might get an idea about how tired I am.  I fell asleep on the keyboard yesterday trying to learn spanish.  I am so amazed at the blessing to be here in Mexico.  the CCM is soooo beautiful!  there are green parrots in the trees everywhere and the CCM is actually like a school campus instead of just a bunch of buildings.  Yeah this week has been hard for several different reasons, but for the most part I am happy.  So my companion have no issues, and we get along great.  But my district is amazing as well.  we have 8 guys in our district and we all get along great.  the first day during gym period I tried to play basketball and It was the worst I have ever played.  But the only reason was because I found out later that the hoop was only 9 feet tall instead of 10... oh well...  

I saw jacob my second day here.  but I dont see much of anyone who isnt in my district. we all just have different schedules so Id see him from time to time between classes or at lunch. 

My ability to understand spanish is really good,   but my ability to speak it well and in context is still really hard for me.  But I can already see improvement!

Elder Hannafin and I are teaching an "investigator" but I dont know if shes really an investigator.  Oh well.   I always walk out kinda discouraged, because she asks such great questions, but I cant answer them because of my inability to speak spanish.  Elder Hannafin is the good speaker, but cant understand what is being said to him.  and its the opposite for me, so together, we make one super good missionary haha!  well my P-day is on tuesdays while Im at the CCM, but once i get to texas it will be on mondays!  so ill email you on tuesdays! everything is great here.  and dont worry about my safety because the CCM is surrounded by a 10 foot wall with glass and barbed wire all around the outside.  so im good.  Of course my bed isnt as comfy as the one I have at home but itll do.  I only have an hour to Email people back so i gotta get on that. Ok mom I love you and i think about you everyday and I miss you!!!  talk to you next week!
